Section 1
Estimates, not advice
Every figure shown is an estimate produced by applying published rates to the values you enter. Nothing here is financial, legal or welfare rights advice for your circumstances, and no adviser relationship is created by using the site. If your situation is complex or money is at stake, get advice from a welfare rights service before you act.
Section 2
Not DWP, and not a DWP decision
Universal Credit Calculator is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Department for Work and Pensions, GOV.UK or any government body. Only DWP can decide what you are entitled to, and only your Universal Credit statement shows what you will actually be paid.
Section 3
Why your award may differ
The calculators model the standard rules. Several things that change a real award are outside what any tool can see:
- Sanctions, and deductions for advances, rent arrears, utilities or overpayments
- How your employer reports pay, which can put two paydays in one assessment period
- Capital, income or household changes that have not yet been reported
- Decisions still outstanding, such as a Work Capability Assessment
- Discretionary help, such as a Discretionary Housing Payment from your council
Section 4
Where the figures come from
All amounts are the published 2026/27 rates, in force from 6 April 2026, last checked against the DWP tables on 7 September 2026. Every calculator and every rate table on the site reads from one file, so a figure in the text cannot disagree with the figure the tool used. Each page carries its own last-updated date so you can tell whether it is current.
Section 5
Tell us if a figure looks wrong
Corrections are the fastest way to improve a site like this and they get priority. Email contact@universalcreditcalculator.co.uk with the page and the figure, and we will check it against the published source and fix it if it is wrong.
